When My Haggai was a littel boy, he could sit for hours and browse Lego and Playmobil brochures. One of the times I came back from Berlin I brought him a new Playmobil brochure, in the middle of the brochure there was an ad for an amusement park that it's theme was Playmobil. Haggai immediately announced that that's where he wants to go, what does a mother that happens to be a travel agent who likes unconventional trips do? I quickly built us a trip that included a visit to Playmobil Park.
Playmobil Park
Playmobil's park turned out to be a magical adventure park, the cost of entering it is as ridiculous as a gymboree . This is a park that is all build from Playmobil, lots of corners where you can sit and play play in Playmobil. It's not a conventional theme park but more of a playground combination with playing corners ,you can easily spend a full day of happiness for the kids.
Adjacent to the park there is also a Playmobil hotel for those who want to complete the experience.
The park is not far from the city of Nuremberg which is also worth a jump.
Legoland
About an hour from Munich you can find Legoland Germany, an amusement park that is all Lego based, has a spectacular exhibition of Lego buildings and figures, roller coasters and other exciting facilities. The park has a wonderful hotel that is divided into several types of accommodation: castle, B & Bs, barrels and tents. We slept in B & Bs and it was a wonderful experience, the resort village is full of playground facilities and beautifully decorated, needless to say the kids were in the clouds.
Beutiful towns
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, is actually a small ski town located near the highest peak in Germany, the Zugspitze. The town is known for the special paintings on the houses that makes it unique. Beyond that it is a convenient point for hiking in the area. We slept in a great apartment hotel with a beautiful view from the balcony
Another picturesque town in the area is Mittenwald, it has a cute little sidewalk and a great place to stop for lunch. At the time we found there a great Doner who baked the pitta bread on the spot and they had a heavenly taste.
Leutasch Klamm
From Mittenwald you can go on a stunning hike to a route that is full of bridges hanging over waterfalls and rushing rivers, the route passes between Austria and Germany for knitting. Legend has it that a ghost is living there.
Neuschwanstein
Fairy tales lovers and Disney lovers knows the Cinderella's castle is based on Neuschwanstein (the new swan) Neuschwanstein, of the crazy Ludwig. The castle is on the edge of a cliff and the climb to it is extremely challenging, but its beauty and the view that is revealed from it is worth the effort.
Linderhof Castle Linderhof Castle has spectacular gardens, a nice option to walk in a beautiful and uncrowded place.
Swarovski's world of crystals
I admit, when my kids saw the Swarovski picture and wanted to go there, I made a sour face. Go see crystals? It sounded like a kitsch place. Wow how wrong I was, we came to a shimmering and beautiful world. The place is full of various representatives adorned with twinkling mirrors, some of them completely psychedelic! There is an immersive clothing exhibition embedded with Swarovski crystals. For children this is a real paradise, in the garden of the place there is a really nice tree maze and the highlight is a 5-storey playground with slides that connect the floors. dream!
Audi
We said Germany, we said car manufacturers. Everyone knows BMW in Munich but also Audi has a factory in Ingolstadt and a Porsche in Stuttgart. The place has an exhibition of Audi vehicles from different periods
Designer outlet
If you are already in Inglushted, it is recommended to hop to the outlet, it has quite a few brand stores and you can find bargains.
