California is one of my favorite states in the United States. Its weather is perfect in most seasons and the views are breathtaking. California offers diverse cities, theme parks like Disney and Sea world. It is great for families but not only. Bottem line anyone can easily fall in love with her. In this part of the blog I will focus on San Francisco and the surrounding area.

San Francisco

San Francisco, is one of my favorite cities, unlike New York and Los Angeles it is calm and not crowded. It has its own unique beauty. On the one hand the golden bridge, on the other hand the magic of the fog that surrounds it, the sea that peeks out from almost every corner, steep costs and crazy descents, etc.

Chinatown

One cannot write about San Francisco without mentioning Chinatown,it's always packed with turists, but it a nice area to spend some time in, the main gate is very impressive, the shops are full of simple stuf like in Ali Express ,but it's a very nice experience. If you are lucky you will arrive at one of their holidays and then everything is more colorfuland festive ,but beware their music is ear racking.

The Japanese Tea Gardens

Inside the Golden Gate Park you can find the Japanese tea gardens, not very large gardens but very well maintained, there are pagodas and Buddhas ,it's a really small and magical jump to Japan. For dessert you can sit down to drink Japanese tea. Please note that there are days of the week when early morning admission is free.

San Francisco Academy of Sciences

An interesting and diverse museum it is also located in Golden Gate Park (in front of the Japanese tea gardens).

It offers various science related topics, it has a small but nice water world, you can be in a simulator that illustrates the big earthquake that took place in the city, it has a tropical world, planetarium and more. Adults can also have fun here

The Exploritrium

Here it is allowed and even requaired to touch everything! A museum full of experiences and games in all kinds of fields. Sand painting, sculpting with magnets, making a stop motion video, touching and guessing, recognizing sounds and lots of other surprises

Haight Ashbury

The coolest area in town is the area where Haight and Ashbuty streets meet. This area was well know of hippies in the 60s and many artists like Janice Joplin grew out of it. A very cute area to hang out in, this is the place to find Tai Day clothes.

49-Mile Scenic Drive

In San Francisco you can find a 49 mile route that passes between all the beautiful spots in the city it is marked with a seagull and you can pass part or all of it.

Day trips from San Francisco

State Route 84

A road that is stunning in its beauty, full of twists, ascents and descents within a beautiful forest, recommends starting it at the junction with Route 1 until the junction with Route 280 leading back to the city.

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz, is an amazing city in its beauty,it's nestled right on the ocean. Cliff rd has a beautiful promenade ,on one side stunning houses on the other side a stunning coastline. In addition to the main street of the city , Ochean St. is Very cute, it feels like you are back to the 60s, it' full of hippies and nice boutique shops. Amusement park lovers can find a tiny amusement park there.

Capitola

Another cute little town on the sea is the Capitola, located about a 10 min drive from Santa Cruz it has nice beaches, colorful houses and even a nice mall.

Napa Valley

For winery lovers, Napa Valley is a paradise, you will find dozens of great wineries here, even for those who are not a fan of delicate wineries this is a beautiful area to walk in.

Route number 1

Undoubtedly the most special attraction in California is Route no. 1. It is recommended to start in San Francisco and finish in Los Angeles, along the road there are dozens of breathtaking stopping points with different animal colonies such as sea elephants, seals and more. It is advisable to check before going out on this road because in recent years it has been suffering from severe landslides causing the road to be closed. A good place to stop for accommodation is San Simeon, it has quite a few hotels (all are very simple) but it is relatively in the middle and comfortable.

17 Mile Drive

Anyone who does not intend to drive to Los Angeles and still wants to enjoy the landscapes route no.1 is offering should visit 17 mile drive, it's offers only small part of what route no1 is offering but it will do the job. It is a beautiful part of the entrance to it for a fee, it passes between beautiful residences and stunning stopping points.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the largest and most impressive aquariums in the world, it has a spectacular and psychedelic jellyfish showroom, including representations by glass artist Dale Chihuly, a feast for the eyes
