Boston is a gorgeous city , on the one hand it has European beauty on the other it lies on the sea, it can be a great place for varied day trips.
Of course, the most beautiful time to travel in Boston is towards the end of September and October (it varies from year to year) during this period the trees are painted in gorgeous red and orang colors.
The Children's Museum
The Boston Children's Museum, is wonderful and suitable for a wide variety of ages , our eldest daughter, came there for the first time at the age of one year last time at the age of 12 and always found interest and fun in the museum.
The museum is divided into sections by ages and themes, there is even an area dedicated to the TV series Arthur.
It has thinking games, physical games, soap bubble games and more.
Waldwn Pond
Walden Pond, located about 30 minutes from the city, it is a beautiful lake, especially during the authem where all the trees are painted in shades of red, yellow and orange.
It has a flat circular route wich is very easy to pass with strollers (even a twin stroller) a nice gateaway from the city.
Duck Tour
Great attraction with kids and also without, an amphibious car guided tour of the city.Of course the highlight is entering the Charles River with the car, the kids can be skippers for a few minutes.
Harvard
Harvard beyond being considered a majure and important university, is also a very nice area to explore , it has nice boutique shops, street lawns and Harvard Square is always lively.
Inside the campus there is a statue that is believed to that ones how touches the shoe will win good luck (for us it didn't work , but you are more than welcome to try)
Blue Men Group
The Blue Men Group stared there way in Boston, here you can watch them in their original theater.
Their show is highly recommended.
Peabody Archaeological and Ethnological Museum
A very interesting museum that displays different cultures from all over the world. It's very interesting and varied.
Lego Discovery Center
This is a Lego experience center, where you can build different buildings and test how they survive an earthquake, build different cars and check who's faster, there are also models of lego city buildings and some fun attractions like a floating bike, speed train etc.
Food markets
As in New York and other cities around the world you can also find a branch of Eataly with excellent Italian food, for daining in and takeaway.
Another food market is Queency Market, it is located in a beautiful building and you can find a variety of excellent dishes
Outside Boston
Outside of Boston you can find cute cities, beautiful views, staning mansions and more
Salem
One of my favorite destinations is Salem, I've always liked witches, maybe I was one in my previous life :) Here you can find a lot of them. Best time of the year to visit Salem is around Haloween, the whole city decorates for the holiday and is filled with more witches than ever.
You can take a guided tour in a Trolley and learn about the history of the city (not just witches...) and on the way to enjoy the beautyof the city.
Talikin about Haloween, onr cannot mantion pumpkin growing filds, before the holiday there are always special events there, you can go and buy a lovely pumpkin.
Ogunquit
Ogunquit, located in Maine but is about an hour and a half drive from Boston, it can be combined with Salem on the same day, you can find a gorgeous promenade on the sea between luxury mansions and a stunning route in its beauty.
Oak Bluffs
Oak Bluff is one of the cutest towns on Martha's Vineyard Island, an island that is mainly used for recreation, it is full of beautiful houses and green spaces. Its main street is very cute and looks like it froze in the '60s.
It also has a marina full of restaurants, where Haggai finally fulfilled a dream and ate lobster.
To get to the area you have to get to Cape Cod and from there take a ferry either to the island itself or directly to Oak Bluff.
The Breakers
The Breakers, is about an hour and a half drive from Boston, it's in New Port Rhode Island. The estate was built in 1893 and has about 70 rooms, it is surrounded by beautiful and wide gardens with gorgeous sea views.
Shopping
Massachusetts is also like New Jersey with no VAT on clothing and footwear and here you can find excellent factory shops.
Also the main factory shop of New Balance is a few minutes from the city and well worth a visit.
