A year ago I came to Miami to see and experience the big buzz around the city, I found a vibrant city full of tourists, with perfect weather (I was in January), however it does not have much to offer for those who are not just looking for sea and parties. Last October I went there again (it is a perfect destination during this period, everything is open, no need to check everywhere, it is relatively green and masks are only needed indoors).
This time I decided to drive to West Florida (two and a half hours drive from Miami), I arrived in a beautiful and diverse area, the sand there is white , for a moment I felt in the Seychelles. That's how I found myself traveling from place to place in Florida for 10 days, getting up early every morning so as not to miss the endless beauty that would be revealed to me, the trip amounted to 2000 km of driving with breathtaking views
Fort Loderdale
Most of the people come here to go on cruises, but it is a very cute and calmer and cheaper city than Miami. Warmly offers to get on the water taxi for a ride in the canals you can get on and off as much as you want along the canals there are houses of various celebrities and especially stunning in beauty. Recommend taking the water taxi from the station of the Hilton Hotel, next to it there is a mall with free parking for the whole day.
A jump to the city dowtown by water taxi or car will take you to a magical street called Las Ollas Blvd. A street with beautiful boutique shops and special charm.
Fort Myers
Fort Myers is located in West Florida and is a great place to get out of for stay foot trips. For lovers of dolphins and shells, you can go on a dolphin cruise and a shell collection cruise. Because of the J shape of the coastal strip, millions of shells drift there every day and many different types of them can be found in the area, unlike other places in the world are even allowed to collect them.
Captiva, Sanibel and Malacha
Near Fort Myers there are 3 magical islands: Captiva, Sanibel and Metlacha.
Captiva and Sanibel are connected to each other and where you can find the largest concentration of shells in the area. The island is surrounded by beautiful beaches and colorful houses.
Matlacha, is very unique, it looks like meny fingers connected to together ,on each finger there is a street and it is surrounded by water around it. On the main street, there are small shops in very colorful buildings, just a feast for the eyes. i recommend getting to the area and just getting lost between the houses and the canals.
Six mile cypress slough preserve
A magical route inside a swamp, in fact it is aמ elevated path above a swamp, it is magical to walk around this park especially early in the morning when the sun penetrates the trees, it fills like a walk in fairy tale. You can see quite a few birds and other animals.
YBOR
About two-hour drive from Port Myers you can find Tampa, a central city, with a high-tech center and universities. If you have a desire to make a small jump to Cuba, YBOR is the place for you,you can find there cigar factories, Cuban food and of course roosters .
Venice
Another cute and beautiful city is Venice, here you can find magical beaches, a very cute avenue with a historic area, boutique shops and figurines of mermaids and mermaids.
Naples
Last but not least, the pearl of the region, Naples. Wow what a city! It's stunning in its beauty, here you will find beautiful houses, luxury cars , boutique shops and stunning beaches. I recommend arriving in the afternoon to the pier of the city , a lot of fishermen gather there which brings to the area dolphins who crave a light meal.
Bridges, bridges and more bridges
The area is packed with breathtaking bridges, in the middle of the water, but without a doubt the most spectacular bridge, is the bridge that connects St. Petersburg and Venice. Sunshine Skyway Bridge. It is about 7 km long and 130 meters high
